This is an exciting opportunity to join our Fundraising team and provide valuable knowledge and lead our Donor Development and Loyalty team. The Individual Giving Lead - Development and Loyalty will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, development, implementation and monitoring of development and retention fundraising programs.

You will focus on increasing the lifetime value of existing donors, through but not limited to, upgrade, cash, bequests and retention initiatives. This role is focused on our regular givers (Human Rights Defenders), one-off donors and bequestors through a range of channels including direct mail, digital, telemarketing, and other appropriate channels. You will also be responsible for retaining and engaging our regular givers (RG base), one-off donors and bequestors through a range of channels including direct mail, digital, telemarketing, and other appropriate channels.

Your creativity, leadership and proactive attitude will help you contribute to our broader Fundraising team, as well as ensure that our Amnesty continues to grow and contribute to challenging injustice.

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop and manage regular giving retention, bequest acquisition and stewardship and cash strategies and programs to contribute to the organisation's financial growth strategy
  • Develop, monitor and review annual budgets and expenditure to meet strategic fundraising objectives and targets
  • Lead five Individual Giving - Development and Loyalty team members including providing direction, feedback, coaching and supporting development on an informal and formal basis
  • Develop innovative and best practice strategies, plans and tactics to grow the programs
  • Develop and maintain high level relationships with agencies, suppliers and other service providers including negotiating and monitoring contracts, developing briefs and overseeing production schedules and approval processes
  • Ensure development and loyalty programs are integrated into broader organisational campaigns and communication objectives, utilising opportunities when they arise
  • Work with key internal relationships to ensure supporters strategy across the organisation is integrated and meet AIA long term objectives

  4. Please briefly outline on your previous people management experience and how you have inspired and led a team of staff and volunteers.
