An exciting full-time opportunity has become available for a Graduate Exercise Physiologist to work alongside our allied health team and specialty trained care staff with our Community and Home Care clients. The role will cover the Brisbane region based out of our head office at Upper Mt Gravatt. As an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will have a strong emphasis on holistic and restorative care for people aged 50+, the frail aged and people with dementia.

Utilising your exceptional clinical and people skills, you will have a caring and empathetic disposition. For the right applicant, this role includes a varied caseload and autonomy in providing services.

We are looking for a Graduate Exercise Physiologist who is confident with assessments for elderly clients and people with dementia. The Exercise Physiologist will be responsible for creating and running Exercise & Wellness programs as well as Education for carers, family members & staff to improve health & well-being. In conjunction with client assessment's the Exercise Physiologist will direct rehabilitative therapies for various conditions (e.g. stroke, cardiorespiratory, orthopaedic).

  • Graduate Exercise Physiologist
  • Flexibility with travel across Brisbane
  • Genuine interest in older person wellness
  • Ability to design & implement wellness programs
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to relate effectively to a wide range of people
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a diverse caseload with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • Relevant Degree/Qualifications and Accreditation
  • Current Open Driver's License
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
