Achieve has been providing services to people with disability since the 1950s. Today, we are a registered NDIS provider offering integrated clinical, health, social and disability services in accommodation, community participation, supported employment and support coordination services in the Greater Sydney and in Northern Rivers regions in NSW.

About the role

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations of our homes within the Sutherland Shire. You will oversee client plans to ensure the delivery of best practice and create an empowering and enabling environment for the people we support. Through effective leadership, this role will support staff to meet the needs of the clients and provide active support.

In this role, some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate day to day operations of SIL homes to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff that complies with the organisation’s policies, processes and procedures to meet the NDIS Practice Standards and all regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Initial escalation person for site team members.
  • Assists with the day to day financial operation of site/s, including household accounts, staffing costs, and required evidence for SIL.
  • Contribute to budget setting and profit and loss reviews, effectively managing cost levers including operational workforce planning and resourcing by approving master rosters and monitoring and verifying the viability of changes to operational rosters.
  • Fosters and embeds a culture of continuous improvement, active support and client safeguarding improving practices and culture to protect, clients, children and other vulnerable people from harm and neglect and help maximise positive client outcomes.
  • Ensure the timely provision of all mandatory reporting to meet the requirements of the Service Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Drives Supported Independent Living development with team members.
  • Ensure housing properties are maintained to appropriate standards.
  • For supervision purposes, may be required to work up to 8 hours/16 hours a month on the floor (not on the roster/flexible).

About you

Our dream candidate would have:

  • Relevant qualifications (minimum Cert IV in Disability or Individual Support) or equivalent experience in disability support or similar.
  • Demonstrated understanding of NDIS, principles of Active support and human rights-based approach to service delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience managing and supervising staff and client outcomes in multiple accommodation settings.
  • Proficient Computer literacy – able to easily learn and use MS Office Suite and online systems.
  • Practical experience in achieving community inclusion and ensuring services maintain appropriate.
