The opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager this role is an opportunity to provide accurate accounting, cost analysis, variance analysis, financial support, and corporate services to ensure the achievement of the Karlka FenceWright’s strategic direction.

You will be independently handling a full set of accounts including bookkeeping, month end and year end closing, accounting schedules, management reports, financial statements and analysis. 

You will also:​

  • Assist in annual budget, forecasts, outgoings year-end audit and all other account and finance related matters.
  • Handle all bank related functions including all payments, bank reconciliations and payroll. 
  • Handle all tax related matters including preparation of group GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, PAYG, and companies.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax accountants, and other external stakeholders.
  • Participate in various ad hoc assignments such as handling insurance renewals, lease agreements & other contracts.
  • Manage the shared services function, including but not limited to finance and administrative Services, IT, asset management, and auditing to ensure that a high calibre of professional services is provided to support the company achieve the strategic direction.

What you need to succeed

You will need at least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in the accounting field. 

You will also need:

  • Degree in Accountancy or above, Qualified CPA or CA
  • Well-versed in computer applications such as MS Office Excel, Word and Outlook is an advantage. Experience with SIMPRO and MYOB is highly desirable. 
  • Strong communication skills, analytical with attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Proactive, well-organised and able to work autonomously or collaboratively with strong team spirit to meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
  • Ability to build relationships with all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to hold all relevant security clearances.
