  • Employment Type: Full Time (76 hours a fortnight)
  • Location: Sydenham, Victoria
  • Salary: $83,640 - $92,517, plus superannuation and salary packaging.

Bring your passion to our Supported Independent Living team in Sydenham, where you will lead by example, nurturing and encouraging a home environment that enables every resident to enjoy a quality lifestyle aligned with their unique goals and aspirations.

The position responsibilities include:

  • Oversee two units catering to 7 clients and empower them in their decision-making and goal planning, whilst emphasizing the importance of continued relationships with family and loved ones.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to a dedicated team of Disability Support Workers including permanent and casual staff.
  • Implement, monitor, and review staff performance, and hold regular house meetings, and individual supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including care teams, day service programs, and families.
  • Join a supportive and collaborative team of Team Leaders/ Residential Service Leads, who will support you in your new role.
  • Make the Complex Simple. Engage in continuous process improvement, where your feedback is highly valued, and positive changes are actively implemented based on your insights.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience leading small teams and the demonstrated ability to provide practice leadership. (Experience leading a team in an accommodation setting (SIL) is desirable).
  • Good communication including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with care teams and families.
  • Experience supporting clients with complex care needs and have experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Understanding if the NDIS and relevant State and Commonwealth legislation / regulation relevant to Service Delivery
  • NDIS Worker Screening check.

Please note the role is 76 hours a fortnight (full time) with varied shifts from Monday to Friday which include dedicated admin times, and direct client support.
