Animal Welfare League Queensland would LOVE you to join our dedicated team of veterinarians on the beautiful Gold Coast!
The charter of AWLQ’s Community Vet Clinics is that no sick or suffering animal is ever turned away, irrespective of an owner’s capacity to pay for treatment.
This unique service makes essential vet care accessible to all pet owners including those previously unable to afford treatment for their pets. Our commitment to keeping pets and people together saves countless animals’ lives and avoids many animals having to enter the shelter.
Any profits made through our Community Vet Clinics at Brisbane, Gold Coast and Ipswich provide further funding for the rehoming of shelter animals as well as education and foster care for animals in need.
Competitive above award remuneration packages for Associate Veterinarians, with advancement incentive program.
We have full-time, part-time or casual employment options to suit your lifestyle, and we offer Work-Life-Balance roster options, +11% superannuation, paid study leave, annual continuing education allowance of $2,500, 4 weeks annual leave, generous discounts and EAP.
Our flexible Work-Life-Balance options ensure you work only one weekend a month, with no on-call.
Whilst we are a large-scale veterinary clinic with a substantial professional care team, we maintain a friendly, collaborative community vibe.
Fast-track your surgical skills with our unique caseload opportunities, supported with quality mentorship from our skilled Veterinary Director team, our vets regularly practice around the world utilising the expertise they have acquired at AWLQ.
Whether you have years of experience, or beginning your professional journey, build a passionate career with a friendly first-class team.
Unique caseload experience enables our vets to work around the world, and you have the opportunity to participate in special projects and share ideas.
We appreciate our veterinary team's expertise, who together treated thousands of animals last year at state-of-the-art hospitals, fitted out with modern equipment.
If you like location variety, ask about our various Queensland clinics: Gold Coast, Brisbane and Ipswich, where we are able to offer full-time, part-time or casual options.
Most importantly, you will make an enormous positive contribution to the welfare of animals and their human companions.
There is nothing like going home at the end of the day knowing you made lives better.
