AVP currently has two vacancies for a dedicated and self-motivated partnership projects coordinator. One Coordinator will have a focus on the ‘Farmers without Borders’ project which is a strategic partnership with ACIAR. As project coordinator you will be developing networks in rural and regional Australia to promote volunteer opportunities within the FWB project. You will also be supporting our overseas teams to develop and manage volunteer roles and supporting other program partnerships within the agriculture and climate change sectors. This role is full time maximum term until December 2020 in line with funding arrangements.

The other Coordinator role will be focused on priority partners of AVP including Engineers without Borders, Australasian College of Emergency Medicine, and Sports for Development. You will be supporting the delivery of partnership plans and you will be identifying and coordinating volunteer opportunities and placements overseas. This role is full time maximum term until 2022 in line with funding arrangements.

Both roles will require a high level of expertise in project coordination and stakeholder management with occasional international and domestic travel.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination
  • Proven stakeholder management, relationship building, and influencing skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong initiative in generating solutions and ideas, and good decision-making skills
  • Be self-driven with supervision provided
  • Experience in international development context across multiple stakeholders and locations
  • On offer of employment is subject to a successful probity check including Criminal History check
