AVI supports the implementation of the Australian Volunteer Program (AVP) on behalf of the Australian Government. The program sends Australian volunteers on assignments overseas that are designed to sustainably build the capacity of people, organisations, communities and institutions. Through meaningful volunteer assignments, the Program creates enduring links between Australians and people and organisations in partner countries.
The position of Compliance and Procurement Manager will manage the development and delivery of high quality, efficient systems, processes and services to support the effective delivery of the operational objectives for the Australian Volunteers Program.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and or equivalent demonstrated work experience
- Successful track record of stakeholder management, including the negotiation and management of commercial contracts and service agreements
- Experience establishing and managing procurement services, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection and evaluation, and mandatory compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, as well as building the capacity of Australian and overseas based staff through training, mentoring and communications.
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and across multiple components of a program
- Proven experience and understanding in contract management principles and practices of DFAT funded projects
- Knowledge and experience in implementation of a program in the international development, volunteering and/or community or commercial services sector.
