Located in the Melbourne CBD, AVBC Inc ensures the quality of the veterinary profession in Australia and New Zealand.
We are recruiting an Examinations Officer to join our eight-member AVBC staff team. This is a part-time role working 0.6 FTE (negotiable to full time depending on skills).
This role supports the AVBC’s Australasian Veterinary Examination Committee (AVEC). AVEC is responsible for the development, oversight and delivery of a competency-based examination system. Completion of the AVE is a pathway to veterinary registration in Australia and New Zealand for overseas-trained veterinarians.
Key deliverables of the role are the administration of a range of processes and functions in relation to AVBC examination activities and the provision of high-quality support to the AVE Committee.
We are seeking applicants with a broad range of administrative and analytical skills; with strong attention to detail; excellent oral and written communications skills, who are passionate about assisting overseas-trained veterinarians to navigate the AVE pathway to veterinary registration.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with appropriate previous experience in a regulatory/compliance and/or education environment is preferred. You will need to be proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Outlook and have intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro. Experience with data and database management systems (CRMs) would also be helpful. AVBC personnel are multi-faceted, and your specialty skills will complement those of our staff, volunteers, committees and contractors.
