Role Functions

The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for the development and execution of creative solutions that effectively communicate with key audiences and promote ATSICHS Brisbane’s projects, programs and services. They will support the marketing and communication team to achieve strategic and operational objectives and will design and produce print and digital media that inspires, informs and captivates. In conjunction with the Manager, Marketing and Communications, they will also identify and respond to the marketing and communication needs of ATSICHS Brisbane employees.

Organisational Contributions

The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for the development of brand and visual identity to ensure a consistent and professional approach is conveyed in all forms of external and internal communication. This includes the development of brand guidelines, maintenance of a digital asset library and adherence to best practice design standards. They will also be responsible for the visual design of ATSICHS Brisbane’s internal and external platforms.

Contribute to the Development of a Flourishing Team

Support fellow staff in a team environment to build collegiality and a sense of belongingness within the team and ATSICHS Brisbane family. Staff will actively participate in team activities and contribute to a flourishing workplace culture that promotes the ethos and values of ATSICHS Brisbane as a long-standing Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.

We are the largest, most comprehensive Aboriginal Medical Health Service in Queensland.

About You:

Essential:

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Design or relevant field
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar graphic design related role.
  • Proven ability to generate innovative concepts to suit different audiences for a variety of print, online and digital platforms.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Possess creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
  • Proven project management skills in managing graphic design work from inception to completion.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask whilst maintaining high quality of work.

Desirable, but not mandatory:

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations.
  • Experience with video content creation and editing including the use of software such as Premiere Pro.
  • Understanding of contemporary design trends and emerging technologies.
