The Australian Services Unions is a large union investing in digital innovation to improve member engagement, personalisation, organising and campaigning and back-end efficiency. We are implementing a modern CRM system, iMIS, with an integrated member portal and marketing automation tool. Three of our largest branches are currently live on the system.

Opportunity:

The ASU is seeking a Database Technical Consultant to support the ASU Branches currently on iMIS and to implement ongoing enhancements on a 12 month full time contract.

You will report to the iMIS Project Implementation Manager and work closely with the Union Innovation Hub technical staff and the Branch staff to enable the potential of the system to better support members.

Key to the success in this role will be your skill and desire to achieve positive solutions for the union using your technical skills.

The role will be located in Melbourne.

What you’ll do as a Database Technical Consultant:

  • Provide high level support and analysis
  • Support and develop technical staff in Branches
  • Manage and respond to ticket seeking assistance
    1. Assess requests
    2. Manage help desk
    3. Resolve tickets
    4. Provide informal training
  • Documentation creation
    1. Schema/relation
    2. Stored Procedures (scheduling of overnight tasks)
    3. Process Automation
    4. Assist with tutorials and instructions
  • Data changes
    1. Bulk updates
    2. Cleaning data
  • CRM (iMIS) implementation
    1. Configuring the system
    2. Create forms using form tools
    3. Assist in building reports/queries
    4. Assist with websites changes and create content pages
    5. Assist with training.
    6. Optimising performance
    7. Building process automations
    8. Assist with payment processing
  • Utilise SQL to analysis and resolve issues
  • Support branch staff with data analysis
  • Understand the capability of the system
  • Assist in defining and scoping enhancement projects
  • Scoping potential enhancements
  • Liaise with external support provider
  • Assist in preparing digital campaign activities
  • Assistance with changes to dashboards and Power BI data analytics
  • Testing improvement
  • Higher Logic marketing automation support
  • Install new features and integrations

Requirements:

  • Related qualifications of training
  • SQL knowledge and experience
  • Experience with databases or technical support
  • Excellent ability to understand user needs and translate into functional requirements
  • Excellent communication
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • An ability to organised and manage work and multiple priorities
  • An ability to work well in a team

Desirable:

CSS, JavaScript and Power BI or iMIS knowledge
