Foodbank Volunteer

Asylum Seeker Resource Centre

About the Role

Foodbank Volunteers will work in a team of Community Food Program volunteers to support people seeking asylum to access essential food and groceries.

Program: Community Food

The Community Food Program ensures that people seeking asylum have equitable access to culturally appropriate, nutritious food and basic groceries in a welcoming and social environment.

Our Foodbank enables people seeking asylum to choose food and other essentials for themselves and their families.

The Foodbank shop reflects a retail environment that reduces barriers to accessing food with volunteers providing customer service and stock management.

Our Community Kitchen volunteers prepare a delicious lunch each weekday for our members using recipes gifted by people with lived experience in our community
