Australian Schools Plus (Schools Plus) help children facing disadvantage succeed at school. Schools Plus purpose is to close the education gap caused by disadvantage by empowering schools in disadvantaged communities with funding, coaching and resources to create lasting change, which helps their students succeed.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Program Manager to manage and co-ordinate the delivery of the Fair Education Program, and to grow and sustain relationships with schools facing disadvantage in NSW through an exciting multi-year grants program.
Fair Education is a leadership development and grants program running in NSW, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania, led by Schools Plus. The program is carried out in partnership with the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation (VFFF) in NSW, and a variety of donors in other states.
The focus of the role will be to manage all processes, systems and stakeholder relationships with schools to ensure the high quality of delivery of the program. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end grant-making process, providing regular program status reports, collating key insights and lessons learned from each phase of the leadership coaching, providing ongoing functional support to the Fair Education Director, coordinating major events such as the annual Fair Education forum/conference and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
The priorities of this program are to provide professional development to build the capabilities of school leaders, and to better enable schools to build strong relationships with families and their community.
The right candidate will work closely with the Fair Education Director and the wider Schools Plus team to deliver and develop this program. They will also be working closely with key donors and a wide range of other key education sector stakeholders.
The role is based in Sydney and will be offered initially as an 18-months fixed term employment contract commencing in January 2023, with a potential to extend or become permanent in time.
