APY is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic researcher to join the anthropology team, who are interesting in working with Aboriginal people to conduct anthropological and cultural heritage research in an interesting and beautiful part of remote Australia.
The successful applicant will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Anthropology or related discipline, an understanding of Aboriginal culture and history in remote Australia, strong cross cultural skills and good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara people. They will also need to have an independent work ethic and good organisational skills.
This position involves living remotely in Umuwa, located in the desert region of northern South Australia. APY Anthropology conducts work within all communities within and areas across the APY Lands.
