Salary Package: $70,078 - $76,611 per annum plus 17% Superannuation

The Fenner School of Environment & Society is a world-leading centre for cross-disciplinary environmental and sustainability research, education and policy-relevant advice. Through cutting-edge research and insightful analysis, our academic experts create social, economic and environmental impact and deliver real-world solutions to address complex environmental challenges.
Sustainable Farms is a new and innovative project that is rapidly developing its scope and reach. You will support the development of the project by engaging with industry and community networks as well as organising events to increase engagement, awareness and adoption of Sustainable Farming practises.
The Engagement Officers will report to the Marketing and Communications Manager and will work closely with both project staff within the university and in regional locations, along with Landowners, external partners in Local Land Services and Landcare groups.
Applications are invited from individuals who like working in a fast-paced environment across an interesting and varied project. The successful candidates will have exceptional communications skills, with experience coordinating and providing support for community events, including facilitating the participation of relevant speakers. You will also be excited about supporting Sustainable Farms to share knowledge with the community about improving agriculture outcomes for both farmers and the environment.
This appointment is continuing, contingent on external funding with an anticipated end date of October 2023 and may be extended pending funding availability.

The Engagement Officer will be based in Cowra and Northeast Victoria in the areas around Wodonga or Wangaratta, the position location is negotiable but must be based in Northeast Victoria to service existing research sites and maintain proximity to other field staff in southern NSW.
