THE ROLE

As Mito Foundation's Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of the Mito Foundation. Reporting to the CEO in this autonomous role, you will record the day-to-day financial transactions, pay suppliers, produce monthly reports and prepare the payroll. You will also ensure that Mito Foundation meets regulatory and legal requirements.

This is a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) role based in Sydney.

AS THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE, YOU WILL HAVE:

• Prior bookkeeping and accounting experience including payroll processing (minimum 3 years)
• Experience and proficiency with Xero and Excel
• Experience working with a not-for-profit organisation
• Pro-active and highly motivated work ethic, able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• A diligent approach to keeping accurate records

THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS:

• Bookkeeping or accounting qualification
• Membership of a professional organisation
• Experience in a similar industry (health promotion charity)
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
