THE OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Legal Counsel to join our team. This in-house role supports a variety of business stakeholders with a focus on risk management, compliance/regulation, employment and commercial matters. This role reports to the Senior Legal Counsel and provides legal advice and implements activity to support compliance with relevant legal, statutory and regulatory requirements. Flexible and working from home opportunities are available in a supportive environment.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Provide legal advice on a range of employment-related matters.
• Provide organisational legal advice.
• Analyse, interpret and advise on a range of operational and transactional contracts.
• Provide legal advice and other support to the organisation in respect of work health and safety matters.
• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Develop policies and procedures as required.

BENEFITS

• Part time role 22.8 hours per week.
• Fixed term (2 years) with potential to extend.
• Base salary of $72,000 per annum gross, for 22.8 hours per week ($120k FTE).
