THE OPPORTUNITY

The Trust & Foundations Officer is an exciting new role with our Fundraising business unit. Reporting to the Donor Relations Manager and working as part of a wider team, your focus in this role will be grant administration duties including developing and maintaining a grants calendar and pipeline of activities, reporting, acknowledgements, coordinating acquittals and keeping accurate records.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Manage the grants consultant relationship (external) to identify new grant opportunities and assist with creating compelling grant submissions to secure funding support.
• Manage existing opportunities from private sources including trusts, foundations and private ancillary funds
• Develop and maintain productive professional relationships with funders, product and program managers, finance team, evaluation managers, communications team, other staff and consultants across ACT, NSW and Queensland
• Assist with the coordination and administration relating to major gifts, bequests and in memory fundraising.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Proven experience in relationship-building skills, including the ability to identify, prospect and nurture all engagement with high levels of professional integrity
• Demonstrated ability in research, develop and writing of funding proposals.
• Knowledge and experience of Not-for-profit and charity environment, in particular in the health sector
