About the role:

Marketing and External Relations plays a key role in profiling and positioning ACU among its diverse community of target and stakeholder groups, including current and future students, staff, Catholic partners and communities.

As Internal Communications Advisor you will be responsible for helping enhance the way staff communicate, connect and engage with one another to advance the vision, Mission and goals of the University.

Duties:

  • Coordinate the implementation of the internal communications plan
  • Liaise with Corporate Services directorates to understand communication needs and formulate impactful internal communications plans
  • Contribute to the continued adoption and effective use of ACU’s internal communications platform
  • Build staff capability in effective internal communications and engagement
  • Support an overhaul of the staff intranet, participating in reviews and recommending improvements

Skills and experience:

  • Identification as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Australian Catholic University considers that being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin is a genuine occupational qualification for this role
  • Completion of a relevant undergraduate degree plus relevant marketing or communications experience
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with substantial editing and proofing experience
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to identify needs and make appropriate recommendations / action plans to address
