About the role

The Case Management System (CMS) team is currently building a new case management system to replace a legacy system. As a result, we require an experienced Scrum Master/Agile Delivery Lead to assist with the activities associated with the design, build and integration of Programs onto the new system. This will involve employing a servant-leader approach to building a high-performance culture that delivers outcomes

  • Leading and coaching the team towards self-organisation, collaboration and maturity, through the involvement of continuous improvement/continuous delivery practices.
  • Managing stakeholders, sprints, scope, dependencies, risks, issues and milestones.
  • Facilitating at all agile ceremonies and workshops to encourage purposeful and effective outcomes.
  • Supporting the Product Owner(s) with backlog refinement, identification of goals and engagement of key stakeholders.
  • Preparing progress reports for executive updates, detailing team progress, sprint burn downs, risks and issues and achievements.
  • Managing end-to-end delivery across the various work streams of the team.
  • Working to anticipate and remove obstacles for the development teams.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the CMS team.
  • Fostering the progression toward a more streamlined delivery culture that supports team engagement and high performance.
  • Engaging, influencing and collaborating with the business to educate and promote Agile Ways of Working.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience managing Agile projects, coaching cross-functional teams or leading iterative development teams, located both onshore and offshore.
  • Qualified in and possessing deep experience of agile delivery practices in support of delivering business value, as well as transitioning businesses to Agile Ways of Working.
  • Experience with configuring and maintaining agile software tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Exemplary communication and facilitation skills with experience in energising teams and building strong relationships across the organisation.
  • Understanding of agile frameworks and methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Design Thinking and Human Centred Design.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to motivate, negotiate and resolve disputes with stakeholders and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to take on accountability for complex pieces of work and to work autonomously.
  • Excellent critical thinker with the capacity to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation/interpersonal skills.

  • Full-time, fixed term position until 30 June 2023

  • $140,000 - $150,000 base salary + 9.5 % superannuation + NFP salary packaging options (more after tax $ in your pocket!)
