A little bit about ACSO

The Australian Community Support Organisation (ACSO) is a dynamic, values driven NFP, focused on partnering with government and the community to co-design services that create real social change. We’re an organisation with a bold vision to create a safe and inclusive community freed of crime and prisons. It’s our goal to reduce re-offending, and our mission is to help people transition from prison, assist them in the community, stop them from re-offending, and intervene to divert others from committing crime.

The program and the role

This role is a member of the executive team and responsible for leading the development and implementation of ACSO's workplace health and safety strategy. Whilst the role is located in North Richmond, the successful candidate will be required to travel to ACSO's sites in Melbourne metro, regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

What we’re looking for?

  • Minimum bachelor degree level qualification in a relevant field
  • Completion of graduate and/or postgraduate studies in occupational health and safety
  • Deep practical understanding of of the occupational health and safety legal requirements in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland
  • Extensive and demonstrable experience in successful development and implementation of workplace health and safety strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence, lead and coach to successfully implement sustainable change
