About the role

The Administrative Assistant is a pivotal support role for the smooth functioning of our Management Accounting team.

In this role, you will be responsible for processing, checking and reconciling brokerage payments against system reports, reporting monthly on processed and unprocessed treatment plans, preparing monthly and quarterly reports to funders, preparing statements for fee-for-service payables to partners, liaising with finance staff on activities within prescribed timelines, including internal and external reporting requirements, preparing periodic reports to funders, and any other tasks assigned by the Management Accounting Manager or GM relevant to the role requirements.

The focus of the Administrative Assistant role is to provide essential support for the team's operations by handling various administrative tasks such as managing correspondence, maintaining financial records, and assisting with report generation to ensure accurate and timely information for decision-making. This role is crucial in maintaining efficiency within the team.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a similar role in the NGO, Government sector or similar organisation with complex funding arrangements and statutory requirements
  • Good analytical skills to ensure integrity of data
  • Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to deal with external suppliers / debtors
  • Experience in integrated accounting packages such as Technology One and other accounting packages desirable
  • Experience in the COATS and/or NDIA space desirable
  • Ability to communicate (written and spoken) with people from all levels of the organisation
  • Openness to change and demonstrates positivity and flexibility
  • Skilled at relationship building and establishing rapport internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to structure tasks using excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to take initiative in handling unexpected challenges and tasks
  • Ability to collaborate well in a team setting and contribute to a positive work environment

What ACSO can offer you

  • Full-time, permanent position available - Richmond location!
  • Base salary of $60,180 to $65,661 (pending skills and experience) + 10.5% superannuation + NFP salary packaging options (more after tax $ in your pocket!)
