When it comes to our environment, the Australian Conservation Foundation has been leading the way in protecting our living world for over half a century.
We are the national environment organisation committed to caring for Australia’s unique and beautiful wildlife and natural world. We’re inclusive, non-partisan and funded by the Australian community.
Whether it’s advocating for the Great Barrier Reef, koalas snoozing in big old trees or for strong climate action, our dedicated community of more than half a million people are constantly working to create a world where forests, rivers, people, and wildlife thrive.
There are people in our community who care about the climate and extinction crisis we are facing and make donations to support our work. The donor care team process donations and mail, send donor communications and call our supporters to say thank you.
Your role will be to add capacity to the delivery of donor care activities by using your skills to support various tasks.
The main tasks of the volunteer include:
We are looking for someone who has a clear, respectful and engaging communication style and a strong ability to collaborate with others in the ACF team.
You will have basic computer skills and previous experience using databases as well as good attention to detail for record keeping and confidence in speaking to donors and other ACF community members.
You'll be self-motivated, able to work autonomously, and proactive in asking questions and seeking support from your supervisor and other team members where needed.
It would be amazing if you have an understand of ACF's campaigns, and of course it goes without saying that you'll have a passion for ACF’s mission to protect nature so that people, communities and wildlife thrive.
This volunteer position requires a weekly commitment of a few hours each Tuesday, minimum 2-3 hours per week. Occasionally additional hours and tasks will be available during peak times such as end of financial year and ACF’s Giving Day. The volunteer position is ongoing. ACF would appreciate a minimum commitment of three months with an opportunity to continue beyond this commitment.
Volunteering will take place either at the ACF Melbourne office (60 Leicester Street, Carlton) or may be available at the volunteer’s home/remote place of work after the training and onboarding has been completed.
