  • Implement changes that benefit children birth to 13 years-of-age and their families
  • Monitor and promote the consistent application of the Education and Care Services National Law across all states and territories
  • Support the early childhood education and care sector to improve quality outcomes for children

The Role

The Manager Products leads a team of professionals and is responsible for the overall National Quality Agenda IT System (NQA IT System) vision, its roadmap, release schedule, user experiences and training support. This position manages the key product offerings throughout its lifecycle, gathering and prioritising stakeholder requirements, managing backlogs whilst working closely with our development, reporting, and project teams to deliver solutions that meet our stakeholders' needs.
This role is full time and ongoing at ACECQA Band 6/7 ($109,683 - $144,726)

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a complex and diverse government/regulatory environment.
  • Proven skills in software product management including demonstrated successes in defining and maintaining complex and/or specialist software solutions within a regulatory environment.
  • Basic understanding of web development platforms, databases, and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in interpersonal communication, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior managers, executives, and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, including the ability to align activities with organisational objectives, determines priorities and provide direction and guidance.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the software development lifecycle.

While not essential, the following attributes will greatly assist you in the role:

  • Knowledge and understanding the regulatory context of the children's education and care sector, or the proven ability to quickly acquire such knowledge and understanding.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
