About you

The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to execute digital campaigns via email and newsletters. If you're fuelled by measuring effectiveness and finding insights, and have a knack for stepping up customer journeys, we want you on our team!

About your team

We’re a fast-growing team with a focus on providing our members and partners a positive experience of every touchpoint with our organisation. The role sits in the Marketing & Communications department, that develops and implements strategic brand, marketing, and communications initiatives with a member-focused lens. The department facilitates the end-to-end delivery of digital and traditional marketing activities to support membership growth targets and reduce member churn, attract customers to education services and increase the profile of social work in the community.

AASW’s purpose is to support social workers and empower the profession to make a positive difference. This role is responsible for ensuring the AASW’s email communications are cohesive, consistent, and optimised.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and distribute emails and newsletters via Account Engagement (Salesforce’s email platform)
  • Establish workflows and standards for email data management
  • Spot ways to improve use of the platform
  • Develop and customise reports and share insights, analyse marketing reports to determine customer trends the Association should respond to
  • Use platform tools to create audience segments and distribution lists
  • Build automated email journeys
  • Adopt a test and learn approach to campaigns, carry out A/B and multi-variant testing
  • Educate key stakeholders on email marketing best practices

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Demonstrated email platform experience
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, use data-driven insights to fuel your strategies
  • A knack for influencing and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset, taking initiative in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Desirable but not essential:

  • Email design experience desirable and/or HTML/CSS experience
  • Familiarity with Salesforce/Account Engagement
