Fundraising Manager - Face to Face and Telemarketing - Flexible Location

Save The Children

This is a unique opportunity for a Fundraiser with account management experience to step into a role where you will lead and be accountable for achieving Save the Children's donor acquisition and retention targets through Face-to-Face and Telemarketing programs. This role will also provide scope to support other acquisition channels and strategies. We need your skills and experience to contribute to broader acquisition and fundraising goals, making Save the Children's work possible in Australia and around the world.

Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.

We're ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children's rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in Australia and overseas and, if there's a disaster - like an earthquake, drought or conflict - we are there on the ground.

Where you come in

In this full-time permanent position, based anywhere in Australia, you will manage donor acquisition campaigns via Face-to-Face and Telemarketing agencies. You will support the work of the Individual Giving Acquisition team, playing a key role in both the acquisition and first-year retention of new financial supporters. As part of our Fundraising team, you will report to our Head of Individual Giving, Acquisition.

You will make an impact by:

  • Working with external organisations and fundraisers to inspire members of the public to become monthly donors through Face-to-Face, Telemarketing, or other channels, taking on leadership and accountability of acquisition campaign budgets and results
  • Managing external partner agencies to ensure optimal agreements and ways of working that ensure quality, volume, and income targets are met
  • Training and ongoing motivation, and where needed, managing performance of teams and individual fundraisers
  • Using reports and analytics to make data-driven decisions
  • Retaining new monthly donors in their first year of support by ensuring they have an excellent experience and receive high quality communications

Does this sound like you?

You're a skilled fundraiser with experience in Face-to-Face fundraising and other acquisition channels. You approach fundraising with energy and enthusiasm, inspiring those around you. You use data and insights to manage and optimise fundraising campaigns. You build strong, robust relationships with agencies to deliver the best possible results. You are organised, accountable and deliver to target and on time.

This role requires:

  • Experience in leading successful donor acquisition via Face-to-Face fundraising (experience with F2F fundraising is essential whilst experience managing Telemarketing campaigns is desirable)
  • Experience in the development, implementation, and measurement of acquisition campaigns, and the ability to implement continuous improvement and a results focus
  • Stakeholder engagement and management of external fundraising, service-providing and/or media agencies
  • Strong project management, administration, and organisation skills
  • Strong budgeting skills and attention to detail when managing varying payment models
  • Demonstrated experience using data and evidence to inform decision making

Working at Save the Children is more than just a job

It's the feeling of knowing that your work is contributing to making the world a better place for children and working with others who feel the same. In addition to a connection to social causes, you will have access to:

  • Opportunity to work on additional projects alongside business as usual
  • Friendly and flexible work environment, including working from home
  • Child and pet friendly work environment
  • Competitive salary + super, full salary packaging benefits
