We provide local housing, services and support programs that enable women, their families and other priority groups to find stability and feel safe and secure, so they can build the future they want.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to join our CASY House Team. This role is offered on a part time ongoing basis. (42 hours per fortnight)

The role is responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive environment for young people to resolve crisis needs by developing and implementing strength-based, trauma informed support plans.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal applicant will have:

• Previous experience in a Youth Work role, or similar
• Completed or studying towards a Cert III in Community Services and/or Youth Work
• An understanding of the complex issues relating to youth homelessness, particularly youth in crisis
• Availability to perform shift work including weekends and public holidays

This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements. This includes:

• Completion of a national criminal history check
• A valid relevant state-based working with children permit.
