ABOUT YWCA AUSTRALIA

We are a proudly feminist not-for-profit organisation and for over 140 years we have been working at the forefront of gender equality through our housing, community programs and advocacy. Over the years we’ve made significant progress for gender equality as we’ve gone through a number of evolutions, adapting to the ever-changing issues impacting women, young and old. We have evolved again and are transforming the way we operate. Our new 5-year strategy, the YWCA Evolve Strategy (YeS 2026), has recently been launched with a focus on making young women’s leadership and women’s housing our priority for gender equity in Australia. This will ensure we continue to deliver measurable and meaningful impact towards a future where gender equality is a reality.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

YWCA Australia is currently seeking a passionate Member Engagement Coordinator to join our Communications and Engagement Team. This role is offered on a part time (30.4 hours per fortnight) basis on a maximum term contract ending on 30 December 2022. This role has the opportunity to be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Toowoomba, Adelaide or Darwin; also with flexibility to work from home in any location in Australia.

The Member Engagement Coordinator is responsible for leading YWCA’s digital member community to ensure the success of our YeS 2026 strategy. The role is the first point of contact for incoming and prospective Cyber Feminist (CBF) members and will deliver member care and engagement initiatives to grow and enhance the member experience nationally. The role works cross-functionally and creatively with Marketing, Communications and Advocacy team members to galvanise membership to advocate for young women and women’s housing, support services and systems change.
