Are you a qualified Trainer and Assessor? Are you passionate about helping women reach their potential and achieve their career goals?  Use your skills to help women take their careers to the next level!

At YWCA Canberra, we recognise that women, including female-identifying people and non-binary people lead differently. That’s why we run the She Leads Diploma of Leadership and Management, a course designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and mindset to achieve their leadership and management goals.

The course extends the Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB51918) with additions specifically for women leaders, based on research and YWCA Canberra’s 90 years of experience working with women.

Our Education and Training Unit is a diverse and highly skilled team, including trainers and assessors, business development and communication professionals, vocational education and training quality and compliance specialists, and early childhood education and care leaders.

We are dedicated to providing a dynamic, inclusive and effective training experience for all our students.

About the Role

Reporting to the Education and Training Unit Coordinator, this highly autonomous role will draw on best-practice vocational education and training methods to support students undertaking the She Leads Diploma of Leadership and Management.

The role is responsible for engaging expert external facilitators to deliver face-to-face classes and plays a support role to facilitators inside and outside the classroom. This includes administrative and logistical support, organising panel discussions with a diverse range of inspiring women, and preparing training materials for classes.

Key responsibilities of the role also include:

  • Developing, delivering and marking assessments within the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015
  • Providing flexible mentoring and support for students (online and face-to-face)
  • Maintaining an awareness of the women’s leadership development market and building relationships with potential panellists and students
  • Undertaking program evaluation and applying this to continually improve the program
