Youth Support + Advocacy Service (YSAS) is one of Australia’s largest and most comprehensive, youth-specific community service organisation that enables young people experiencing serious disadvantage to access the resources and support they require to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.headspace is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health under the Youth Mental Health Initiative and YSAS is contracted to be the lead agency for headspace Collingwood. YSAS is also lead agency for headspace Frankston (inclusive of the headspace Rosebud satellite).

About headspace Rosebud

headspace Rosebud is a satellite service site of the headspace Frankston parent centre, that opened in February 2020. headspace Frankston is an established centre which has successfully delivered mental health services within the Frankston & Mornington Peninsula community since 2008. With so much happening in the community sector and within mental health it’s a great time to join the team during a time of review and service growth, building on successes whilst looking for new and innovative ways to deliver an evidence-based service that meets the needs of young people with mental health and other presenting issues.

We are looking for an established clinician who has:

  1. Experience in complex assessment, care planning, staff management and coordination with mental health experience & experience in community youth mental health or related areas.
  2. Proven clinical leadership skills with expertise in client-centred consultancy, ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in clinical practice.
  3. Effective communication interpersonal and effective stakeholder engagement skills; and a proven track record of working collaboratively within a leadership team.
  4. A strong commitment to continuous improvement, implementing changes and developing direction in clinical practice by the utilisation of evidence-based research and outcome measures.
  5. Skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organisational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes.
  6. A demonstrated ability to provide high quality supervision, support, skill assessment and training to staff, including secondary consultation and critical incidence response.
  7. Highly developed computer literacy, and competency in the use of contemporary information systems computer applications and record keeping.
