Team Leader - The Living Room

Youth Projects

Is this you?

You are an engaging and inspiring leader in the health or homelessness sector that is ready for their next challenge. You come with a Diploma qualification or more (in relevant Social Work, Youth Work and / or Community related disciplines). You understand the importance of balancing client outcomes and developing a strong team culture all while keeping the multidisciplinary service humming along. You have experience working with service users that have multiple and complex needs. You know your stuff when it comes to motivating, empowering, nurturing and growing skills of the team, and one thing is for sure, when it comes to delivering high impact support to service users you see the importance of a team approach. This is a hands-on job, and you’ll lead by example.

You’ll be the day-to-day captain of this team, but when we are in the thick of it, we play off each-other’s strengths and have each other's back #1YP

You're bendy. You can switch from making a service user a cup of coffee to using evidence and data to assist in developing programs with targeted service user outcomes. You can flex your approach up and down. You know the importance of boundaries and frameworks but are an active listener and tailor your coaching and support based on the needs of the people you are working with. Changing lives is your passion but you still embrace rolling up your sleeves and mucking in to get the job done.

You see the person. You’re full of creative ways to meet our service users and teams where they are at and believe that engagement shouldn’t be a one-size-fits-all model. You always see the person, not just their immediate situation because you understand that everyone has different needs, and that is okay.

You care. Our frontline warriors and change makers are all here because we genuinely want to break the cycle of disadvantage, and we want you to want that too!
