Due to expansion, Youth Opportunities is looking to work with experienced coaches from across Australia to help us deliver our innovative and world class online Thrive Personal Leadership Program.

Our program is built on 20+ years’ experience of working with young people, is evidence-based and underpinned by a range of psychological theories. Designed to empower the individual to focus on developing long-term happiness, setting and achieving goals, increasing motivation, developing positive communication, enhancing confidence, and improving relationships.

Do you want to help young people lead and thrive in their lives? We are looking for expressions of interest to join us as a Thrive@Life Coach where you will play an integral role in helping more of Australia’s youth and young adults to participate in a program which develops their personal leadership, enterprise skills and resilience.


Thrive@Life Coaches will deliver 1:1 Zoom coaching sessions to support an individual’s understanding and learning as they navigate through the Thrive Personal Leadership program to achieve their goals.

Our first program for individuals begins in August 2021.

Our programs run for 8-weeks, where participates will self-pace through the online platform going through 8 Modules until completion, certifying them as a Personal Leader. Simultaneously, we will run the same program over 16 weeks for groups of participates, where you will have the opportunity to engage with participates in a 1:1 capacity.

This is where you come in… each participate receives fortnightly 30 min Zoom coaching sessions to help them apply the tools and concepts that they have learnt in the program, to be solution focused and empowered to achieve their goals, develop habits and attitudes that lead them to success.

The right person for the opportunity is someone who:

  • Wants to add their valuable and extensive coaching knowledge and experience with working with a diverse range of young people (ages 15 – 30) in this capacity to support participates undertaking the Thrive Personal Leadership Program
  • Can build strong rapport, show empathy, authenticity and is solution focused
  • Can use their influence to motivate and empower the young people they are working with
  • Can be creative and adapt by contextualising existing frameworks, concepts and strategies to individual’s needs
  • Has confidence in navigating online learning platforms and using Zoom videoconferencing to engage with clients
  • Has highly developed interpersonal skills, is emotionally intelligent and empathetic
  • Is a strong and engaging communicator including in the presentation of their coaching skills in an online environment
  • Is well organised, reliable and delivers to a deadline.

Special Conditions: Essential Requirements

  • This opportunity is for a Coaching Contractor with their own ABN.
  • Due to the nature of coaching, this position may require out-of-hours work.
  • Successful clearance of a DCSI Child-Related Employment Screening
  • National Police check
  • Current compliance with Responding to Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care training
  • Youth Mental Health certification (desirable)
  • The right to live and work in Australia
  • These essential requirements may be obtained once appointed.
