Youthlaw, a free legal service for young people under 25, seeks a youth family violence practitioner to join our our multidisciplinary Family Violence Program team, and work closely with a family violence lawyer to provide a holistic and integrated response to young people under 18 years who have used or experienced violence .
The position is 4 days a week (0.8EFT) for 12 months (commencing by mid November 2020).
We require a dynamic and experienced practitioner to lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the integrated service model and practice for a new pre-court program. The model is designed to support young people to access specialist legal and social work support where risk of family violence is present, and in so doing to support risk management safety, and better engagement with legal proceedings. The pilot will run in the 2021 calendar year in Sunshine and surrounding areas.
Salary - up to SCHCADS Social work level 5.3. In addition, salary packaging, superannuation and an additional week of annual leave.
