Trainer - Kids Helpline & yourtown Services

We are thrilled to have opened our first Kids Helpline purpose-built centre in western Sydney to supplement our other local programs in the community.

This is a varied and fast paced role will see you work as a member of the Performance & Capability team. You will design and deliver training and provide learning and development consulting activities that enhance the performance and capability of the organisation through its people in delivering client services. This role will have a particular emphasis on providing training and L&D support for those staff engaged in Kids Helpline Counselling centre. However you will also support youth work, family and children programs, and other direct client service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will have a combination of first-hand counselling/client practice experience, as well as recent and relevant experience in workplace training/education/learning and development. You will hold Bachelor level qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or similar and ideally Cert IV in Training and Assessment. It is essential that you bring a demonstrated understanding of the competencies required by staff to deliver and work within different therapeutic models when providing services for children, young people and families. You will apply knowledge and experience in designing and implementing blended learning opportunities to a dispersed and diverse workforce.

More than just a "training" role, you will be willing and able to contribute to projects and initiatives that meet the organisation's business needs, as well as identify and address emerging needs and opportunities to enhance our workforce's capacity to provide excellent services to our clients.
