For over 15 years, yourtown has been providing quality employment services throughout Australia in communities facing long-term unemployment. Employment Services at yourtown works persistently to address youth unemployment and its causes, by unpacking the challenges a young person might have and finding the right solution for that young person. 

jobactive is a program specialising in helping young people (15-29) on their journey to employment. The service provides intensive, pre-employment support to improve the work-readiness of young people and help them into work (including apprenticeships and traineeships) or further education.

What does a Job Placement Coach do at yourtown?

As the Job Placement Coach, you will be:

  • Completing intake assessments with the job seeker to determine work readiness;
  • Working in collaboration with the job seeker to goal set;
  • Connecting with relevant community organisations to support work readiness;
  • Job matching, cold calling and reverse marketing the job seeker to employers;
  • Networking face to face and building rapport with employers to build an employer pipeline.

This position is a 12 month Maternity leave cover and will be based out of the Glenorchy office.

About the benefits of working at yourtown

Remuneration for this role commences at $66,196 per annum + 9.50% Superannuation + salary packaging. We offer attractive employment conditions supported by an Enterprise Agreement which includes guaranteed yearly increases for 3 years, paid parental leave and access to salary packaging arrangements of up to $15,900 via our packaging provider. We also offer monthly practice supervision with an in-house team of Practise Supervisors.
