As the Business Development Consultant, you will be part of a team that provides tailored employment related services to employers with the aim of sourcing employment opportunities for our job seekers. You will partner with employers to create suitable employment opportunities and place our young job seekers into employment. Every day will be diverse but in essence your day to day will include:

  • Networking face to face and building rapport with employers to build an employer pipeline.
  • Partner closely with our youth to pinpoint their career aspirations and goals.
  • Provide guidance to the employers on labour market concepts, opportunities and employer incentives that are available.
  • Become acquainted with our caseload of young people to facilitate precise job matching, ensuring sustainable and successful employment outcomes.
  • Foster strong relationships with local employers to establish long term career opportunities for our youth.

  • Proven experience in account management, delivering exceptional service through face-to-face interactions, phone communication, and digital platforms.
  • Experience in community engagement, adept at cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with community stakeholders and employers.
  • You are a marketing whiz and are eager to market our services to create employment opportunities for our young people.
  • You love meeting different people and enjoy the fact that this role enables you to be out and about and face to face with employers. You understand the importance of building rapport face to face with employers so that you can partner with their business and provide solutions.
  • You are acutely business savvy and have a solid understanding of the local labour market coupled with challenges to employment faced my disadvantaged young people.

Transition to Work (TtW) is the Australian Government’s youth specialist employment service that supports young people to develop practical skills to gain employment or connect with education or training. At yourtown, we understand everyone is unique – and so is their journey to finding work. We don’t just help with the job hunt.
