Your Side Australia is looking for a dynamic and engaging person to coordinate our Volunteer & Student Program.

You will do this by:

• Maintaining the existing relationships of volunteer/student referrers or placement coordinators while seeking new opportunities to source new volunteer/student streams
• Organising profile-raising events to attract new volunteers/students
• Maintaining a database of existing and potential volunteers/students and stakeholders to build our volunteer base
• Support students on placement through regular meetings and feedback sessions
• Positively and constructively represent our Mission and Vision to all external contacts at all opportunities

About You

We are looking for a coordinator who can fulfil the following essential criteria:

• Demonstrate a proven ability to establish networks and has an ability to interact positively with our team members, service users and other stakeholders
• Canvas new volunteers/students
• Motivate and support our volunteers/ students
• Interview, train, induct and match volunteers/ students
• Demonstrate extensive experience in a similar role
• Keep up to date with legislation, obligations and policies related to volunteering/student placement
• Demonstrate experience and understanding in working within the Aged Care and Disability sectors
• Show exceptional communication and relationship building skills
