About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Group Manager Kindergarten Inclusion, Volunteer Engagement and Yooralla Connect, this role oversees the planning, implementation and management of the Kindergarten Inclusion Support Program across the South Eastern Metropolitan Region.

You will provide strong leadership to a team of staff to support Early Childhood Teachers to build their capacity to develop and implement an inclusive program.

Critical to this role is the ability to foster and maintain collaborative working relationships while ensuring that all operational and legislative requirements are met.

About You

Are you a driven and dynamic individual who is passionate about supporting inclusive Education and Care environments? This role will see you work on both operational and strategic activities where you will have real impact to influence outcomes and drive effective service delivery.

You will need experience in:

• Early Education & Care, Early Intervention and/or Disability Services
• Operational management of a large and diverse team
• Financial management and financial analysis
• Developing partnerships with stakeholders (e.g. customers, government, universities, industry leaders, etc.)

You will have:

• Strong influencing, negotiating, facilitation and networking skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Sound written and verbal communication skills
• Sound strategic thinking, planning and organisational skills
• High level knowledge of Early Education and Care Services and related legislation and frameworks, and staff management principles
• Significant understanding and expertise in, and a commitment to the delivery of Inclusive kindergarten services, social justice and an environment of trust
• Ability to initiate and maintain contacts with a broad range of people and community organisations to ensure children’s access to services, appropriate communication with fellow workers, teachers, families and other people involved with the service
• Significant knowledge of, and ability to support staff to implement approaches ensuring the rights and support needs of children are met
