About the opportunity

In collaboration with the Senior Digital Specialist, the Digital Content Coordinator is responsible for creating digital copy and supporting digital content across all YMCA Victoria owned and managed websites and key digital channels. This role has exposure to all of Y Victoria’s business sectors (recreation, camps, children’s programs, youth services, Kingswim and Virtual Y).

As the Digital Content Coordinator you will:

  • Collaborate with the Digital Team, key stakeholders and product specialists to develop and execute high quality content;
  • Proof and edit digital copy to align with brand and style guide;
  • Ensure content management processes are in place and workflows followed;
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to produce customer-centric content, aligned with our brand strategy and business targets.

This is a permanent full time role with a salary of $61,000 - $65,000 + super. You'll work from home and our Box Hill offices 1-2 days a week.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent digital copy writing skills.

In addition, you will:

  • Have a great eye for detail;
  • Have a good understanding of digital marketing;
  • Have experience using a website content management system;
  • Understand the basics how search engines work in relation to content and search (SEO/SEM);
  • Have a demonstrated ability to manage competing demands and deadlines;
  • Be familiar with MS Office products including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook and digital tools.

Mandatory pre-requisite qualifications and experience

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a relevant marketing, communications or digital role
  • Required qualifications may include but not be limited to: a degree in communications, marketing, publishing or journalism (or any degree with a large requirement of copy writing e.g. history or law)
  • Copywriting, content and digital marketing training courses and qualifications are highly regarded.
