YMCA ReBuild is a truly unique social enterprise that provides young people involved in the criminal justice system with a pathway to employment. Possessing a truly unique program focussed on reducing recidivism rates, ReBuild trains, employs and supports young offenders through its rapidly growing, trade-based program.

At ReBuild we offer a range of landscaping, landscape maintenance, carpentry and building work across the Melbourne region. The enterprise achieves positive and sustainable employment outcomes by delivering on-the-job training to participants under the guidance of an experienced tradesperson.
Our dedicated Crew Leaders are qualified in their specified trades (such as painting, landscaping, and carpentry) and work directly alongside young people to train, mentor and supervise them. Trainees will principally be young ex-offenders and young people at risk of offending. In addition, you will have the responsibility of delivering a quality facilities maintenance service, specifically landscaping and grounds maintenance to the customer and will sign off all work completed by the crew. While Crew Leaders work onsite, they are based out of our offices in Braybrook.

The pay range for this role is $37.53 - $40.38 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
You’re a skilled tradesperson with a passion for making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged young people. You will be in a position to partake in physical labour onsite in your trade of specialty. You possess strong interpersonal skills, which will allow you to build strong and positive relationships with the young program participants. Your well-developed communication skills will see you create and grow beneficial relationships between the business and community sectors, whilst working with a culturally diverse group. You will be highly motivated, with proven ability to work with limited supervision.
