The Y Canberra is Safeguarding accredited by the Australian Childhood Foundation and also meets the Safeguarding licensing standards of Y National covering areas such as recruitment, training, interactions between staff and participants, policy and procedures and building a Safeguarding culture.
The Safeguarding Coordinator role fits within the Safeguarding, Risk and Quality team, and has a number of key objectives:
Close-knit and supportive team and leadership, connection with Y National Safeguarding Leads group, support provided via EAP and Trauma Centre Australia, free gym membership for Y Canberra/ Y NSW facilities and discounted ELC/ OSHC/ Vacation care for Y Canberra services.
