The Manager, Marketing & Creative works alongside the Head of Marketing & Technology to execute the marketing functions of the organisation. The hands-on Manager, Marketing & Creative will take a lead role in coordinating marketing and design tasks and site requests, ensuring branding, internal standards and timelines are adhered to. The position will play a proactive role towards ensuring organisation initiatives, programs, campaigns and news stories are best marketed through appropriate traditional and digital channels.
The role is hands on, with a satisfying mix of direct outputs and oversight in graphic design, social media management, and website improvements/updates along with a wide variety of B2C and B2B marketing projects and improvements.
The role is envisioned as full time, however, a 0.8 position will be considered for the right candidate.

We are rebuilding the marketing team with several positions currently out to market. There is some flexibility in each vacant role, capable of being tailored to the unique skill set of the individual. The aim is to build a small team with complimenting skills addressing many of the ‘desired’ skills/experience noted below. While flexible, we envision this Manager role to have oversight and accountability on the creative outputs of the team in addition to working on various marketing projects and improvements.
The marketing team supports the needs and requests of roughly 10 recreation locations and 25 OSHC’s/ELC’s (ranging from program promotion to integrated membership campaigns and everything in-between). In addition to retail/consumer-oriented marketing, the team also fulfils the organisations business-to-business strategies including tender preparation and communications to the 600+ YMCA South Australia team.
The marketing team is primarily based at YMCA South Australia Support Services (Waymouth Street). The team enjoys a strong work life balance with flexibility in office hours and partial work from home ability. Some ad-hoc and infrequent travel may be required to visit locations.
