We are looking for a vibrant leader to be part of a small but connected team at YMCA Epping. Y NSW are looking for someone who can maintain but also grow our various programs within the centre, as well as promote growth and maximise our staff performance.

You will be responsible for driving new business, ensuring current programs improve in quality with the aim of program best practices, and leading various teams within our centre to ensure our community is served to the best of our ability.

This is a newly amalgamated role overseeing frontline, health & fitness and our school PDHPE program. The role is also in charge of running and growing our current community programs, including uplift and stretgym, which target local youth who are experiencing mental health challenges and/or are looking to get involved in their local community.

The role will also develop our PDHPE program which connects local primary and high schools to our centre to increase physical health and development.

About the role

The Programs Coordinator will be an efficient well-organised, self-motivated person, showing strong commitment to staff and training. Emphasis on leadership and motivation in a challenging environment will require excellent communication and presentation skills. You will drive innovation within the team to meet professional development expectations within your team.

You will provide opportunities for participation and membership growth within the program areas in the centre, with a focus on growth, development, and assistance with current or future programs. You will also be responsible for ensuring all staff are up to date in their training and performing to a high standard. With the responsibility to continuously review our current program offerings, you will improve the performance of these products which will increase membership satisfaction and experience.

The role will also see the successful candidate set KPIs to ensure growth of programs (both financial and performance based) which will be implemented and assessed.

What you will come with:

  • Previous experience in an administrative/customer service role
  • Previous experience in a fitness leadership role
  • Knowledge of Community Recreation
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience
  • Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness
  • Apply First Aid & CPR
  • Working with Children Check
  • Fitness qualifications
  • Strong sales background
