Y Impact is a Social Impact Consultancy specialising in business advice, CFO support and impact measurement. We are dedicated to early-stage social enterprises preparing for impact investment, funding and fast growth. We are proud to work with incredible organisations like One Roof, Free to Feed, mtime, Mettle and Little Dreamers. We are passionate about building the social enterprise sector and supporting as many people, both new and experienced, in this space as we can. We are for collaboration towards an equitable and inclusive world. We love our community and we love what we do.
This is an opportunity to collaborate with our diverse client list to create simple, streamlined accounts and processes and receive:
This is a part time role, of approximately 20 hours per week. Whilst days can be flexible, Mondays are essential due to the current structure of our client work.
You will be hands on in this role, managing the accounts for a range of clients across industries from childcare to hospitality. You will undertake payroll for between 5 & 40 staff per fortnight (varies), reconcile accounts and prepare month end reporting.
You will undertake ad-hoc project work and provide support to the co-founders, spanning across board reporting, grant acquittals, forecasting, impact measurement and program design.
You will constantly seek to create business process and reporting improvements that enhance the performance of both Y Impact and our clients. You will use strong communication skills to ensure accurate information is sought and obtained from clients in a timely manner.
The business world is changing rapidly, as organisations and individuals alike recognise that the strength of the economy, financial return and the wellbeing of our environment and society are not mutually exclusive. We need to build businesses that are solving the world’s greatest problems, in a financially sustainable manner.
We are business advisors, coaches, mentors, facilitators, and finance professionals. We have extensive experience in professional firms and as finance team leaders in industry. We are a strong, values-based business, that balance our head and our gut to guide decision making, connect with clients authentically and provide excellent service. We love wine, chocolate, being in nature and curating Spotify playlists.
At Y Impact, we build social enterprise and purpose led organisations that are creating meaningful impact on equality and inclusion, education, environmental sustainability and health and wellbeing.
We are creating a positive, creative and flexible work environment that attracts the best people and can support them to reach their full potential. We seek the potential that comes from varied backgrounds and believe that the lived experience of the people who work with us will enrich and strengthen the quality of our work and the impact we have on social enterprise.
We understand that the current environment is changing the way we work, and we want to support the best person to work in a pattern that will help you deliver the best work, so please discuss your needs with us.
Sound like the sort of role for you? Apply now.
In your cover letter we want to know about you, not just your experience. Tell us why working with social enterprise is important to you, and one key issue that is really important to you right now.
