The opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, you will contribute to the YFS strategic direction, program rigour, governance and risk management, and strategic plan deliverables working with other members of the executive leadership.

You will lead and manage the business, corporate and financial functions to support our front-line service delivery and staff and mature our business model.

Through a strategic corporate services lens, you will facilitate a strong internal service culture and enhance operational management capability to strengthen YFS.

Supported by a dedicated team, you will comfortably take a hands-on approach in key accountability areas and deliverables when required.

About you

  • An accomplished executive with business administration, systems and corporate management expertise in a complex business
  • Strategic corporate services thinker and proven operational management capability
  • Experienced in managing a multi-disciplinary team in service delivery
  • Strong problem solver with sound business acumen
  • A leader who empowers others to achieve their potential and provides mentorship
  • Credible communicator with influence and negotiation skills
  • Collaborator and contributor to organisational health and wellbeing
  • Effective decision making, professional judgement and ethical behaviour
  • Demonstrated software utilisation and optimisation (financial, HR, quality management)
  • Graduate/post Graduate qualifications in Accountancy, Finance, Business Management or similar
  • Not for profit or human services sector experience (desirable)
  • Demonstrated commitment to YFS Values and Cultural Respect.

Since 1983 we have been building people’s capacity to live independently and participate in our local community through a range of initiatives and services. These include programs that help homeless people get into long-term housing, initiatives to reduce the prevalence of domestic and family violence and programs that build employment prospects.

YFS has a complement of 180 dedicated staff and current funding base of $17M.
