  • Logan Zero Community Lead is a new place-based leadership role that will engage Logan stakeholders to work towards ending homeless and advocating for change that is needed to fill service gaps.
  • You will lead the development of a multi-organisational project and work closely with Logan stakeholders, the Logan Zero Data Lead, Brisbane Zero partners led by Micah Projects and the Australian Alliance to End Homelessness.
  • YFS will be the host employer for the Logan Zero Community Lead position.
  • This is a full-time opportunity but can be flexible for the right applicant.

About the job

  • Role location: Slacks Creek – office base and mobile work across Logan City,
  • Role type: Full time, permanent
  • Pay range: $100,581 - $102,692 based on experience, with 10% superannuation and salary sacrificing available

We are looking for a committed leader who is passionate about ending homelessness and who has project management, planning, negotiation and advocacy skills. This role is mix of hands on and strategic.

The role works collaboratively with other Logan agency colleagues to produce quality data through the VI-SPADT and the A-to-Z Database to track progress in successfully housing people. You will lead advocacy and drive improvements to the service system.

About you

Aside from meeting the key capabilities outlined in the related role description available from https://www.yfs.org.au/work-for-us/, ideally you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a place- based initiative
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in leading a project and building rapport with other stakeholders
  • A sound understanding of social justice, housing first principles and capacity to undertake advocacy
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and implement action planning and continuous improvement principles
