Marketing Assistant - Murwillumbah

Yepyou is a start-up working on a creative, targeted strategy for environmental action.

We are looking for a new team member with 4 core attributes;

  1. Strong social media platform knowledge and skills to create fantastic, shareable content
  2. Graphic design and professional communications capability
  3. A passion for the environment
  4. Energy which powers a positive, cooperative and honest work ethic

We are seeking someone who has an incredible attitude first and foremost, with the applicable skills to match. The position will be based at Yepyou’s brand new office in South Murwillumbah where you will be part of a start-up with big ambitions. Whilst our specific service offering remains under wraps, we will be operating in the environmental field reaching out to a global audience. We have been preparing for launch over the past months and the Marketing Assistant position will provide graphic design elements for the business and manage the social media content and platforms for start up.

2. What the role encompasses

a. Social Media Account Management

  • Manage and report on all social media accounts
  • Plan and schedule content
  • Respond to community outreach, monitoring comments/messages, etc.
  • Assist with influencer and broader marketing communications
  • Research and keep up to date on industry trends, influencers and events that are relevant

b. Content Management

  • Create content for social media posts including graphic design, text, imagery and video – everything from explainers, stories, reels, videos, blogs, lives and whatever new trends emerge
  • Create and edit marketing material to a high-level, professional standard
  • Make updates to the website with new marketing collateral
  • Assist with putting together compelling mailouts
  • Create and edit videos for use on our website, YouTube, Instagram or elsewhere
  • Administration tasks as required

3. What you need to bring to the role

We would love to hear from energetic, creative, digitally savvy people, either experienced or perhaps starting out in their career, who are seeking an opportunity to progress within a dynamic workplace focussed on environmental objectives. Ideally you will:

  • Be switched on, firing on all cylinders and ready to make a difference
  • Be able to demonstrate that you have a knowledge of, and experience with social media platforms, which can be applied to business purposes
  • Fluent capability in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva or similar, plus Mailchimp
  • Some knowledge of marketing strategy and planning
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills for professional company communications
  • Disciplined task prioritisation and time management skills
  • Ability to follow deadlines and directions accurately
  • Energy, open-mindedness and a desire to collaborate with others in the workplace

4. What will give you an edge

  • Absolute integrity and a positive, energetic attitude
  • Demonstrated professional use of social media across multiple platforms
  • High-level graphic design and at least some video production skills
  • Experience with website design
