About the role

You will be required to work alongside our existing groundskeeper team performing general grounds maintenance. Reporting to the Social Enterprise Manager your duties will include a variety of tasks such as the below:

  • Provide reliable gardening service to all Unison portfolio
  • Pruning, hedging, weeding, brush cutting, planting, litter and leaf removal;
  • Ensure garden and grounds areas are kept up to high standard.
  • All round, general ground and garden maintenance.

About you

To make this role a success, we are seeking a person who:

  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence;
  • Demonstrated experience in general gardening and an understanding of Horticultural Machinery Operation;
  • A sound knowledge of best horticultural practices;
  • Plant knowledge in identification & growing conditions;
  • Good communication and presentation skills both written and verbal to allow professional interaction with staff, tenants and community;
  • A high customer service focus and strong work ethic
  • Strong focus on safety, environment and quality.

On Offer

  • Permanent, Part time (0.8FTE) position 
  • Salary $24.97 per hour (plus superannuation)
  • 5 weeks annual leave (pro-rata for part-time employees) with 17.5% annual leave loading
