Who we are

Youth Action is the peak body for young people and youth services in NSW. We work towards a society where all young people are supported, engaged and valued.

About the role

The Western Sydney Policy officer is a new part time (2 days/week) role that will play a key role in Youth Action’s support of and advocacy for young people and youth services in Western Sydney. Reporting to our Policy and Advocacy Manager, you will conduct research, consultation and provide writing support on the development of a range of various reports and papers. In particular, the role will focus on the experiences of young people in Western Sydney, highlighting systemic issues and innovative approaches to youth development.

At Youth Action, we know our capacity to drive progressive change is increased when our team has a diversity of backgrounds and experiences relevant to the issues we work on. This role would particularly suit someone with community ties to Western Sydney or with the lived experience of being a young person in Western Sydney.
