Yalari provides boarding school scholarships to young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from regional, rural and remote areas of Australia to study at leading independent boarding schools. It is our belief that education is the key to generational change and a brighter future for Indigenous children.

As the Partnerships & Community Coordinator, you will have the responsibility for engaging and connecting all members of the Yalari community (both current and potential) for working with various projects supporting the Yalari students and alumni. This includes working with various stakeholders to assist in the development of various projects and programs. The role will work across all areas and departments within Yalari.

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience and competencies:

  • Experience in a similar role/position, including administrative experience and skills.
  • High level computer literacy, including database management experience.
  • Proven team player – responsive, flexible and approachable.
  • Self-motivated with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to meet budget and KPI’s.
  • Proven experience in relationship coordination and management.
  • Ability to engage with our external corporate partners.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of the independent school system.
  • An empathy for Indigenous issues and ideally some experience working with Indigenous people.
